The Adventures of Wily Barlow – Radio Show

In this time of Covid-19 and cancellations of gatherings and shows we at Solstice thought it would be nice to bring back something from the old days. A “live radio play”, where actors come together, do their voice acting, live produced sound effects and the whole story broadcasted on radio.

For this particular one our very own Evan Llewellyn took it on himself to write a story loaded with Pender references for you to enjoy. In this first chapter of The Adventures of Wily Barlow, Pender’s private detective Wily Barlow is hired to find someone, and while doing so stumbles upon a myriad of intricacies.
You can listen to this radio show and Solstice’s performance by clicking on the “play” button below.

The Adventures of Wily Barlow is brought to you by Evan Llewellyn as writer and director and we would like to thank all involved in it’s production:
Evan Llewellyn, John Pender, Keith Smith, Lisa Heggie, Barb Pender, Mary Chamberland, Chris Wakaluk, Sitka Honan-Smith, and Yale Pimiskern for reading and acting. And the crew members involved: Howard Southwell on live sound effects and music, Helen Lemon-Moore, Nancy Westell, Joy Thierry Llewellyn, David Ohnona, and Rutger Kamphuis.

If you would like to know how it looks when a Radio Play is being produced, we have also made a video for you to enjoy:
