Office Hours. Solstice Theatre invites Pender Islanders to its new spring production. Office Hours is a hilarious comedy by one of Canada’s most talented playwrights. Norm Foster has written some 50 professional plays and is by far Canada’s most performed playwright.
Office Hours takes place over an afternoon in a downtown Canadian city somewhere. During the course of six scenes in six offices we meet a race track owner, a talent agent, two film producers, and a TV newsman. All of these people are highly delusional and somewhat insane. And all are mysteriously connected. As the play unfolds we catch glimpses of what ties these characters together, and with each revelation the audience’s appreciation of the connections continues to grow.
Office Hours includes a cast of 15. It will be performed at the Pender Island Community Hall for two evenings and one matinee. Show times are 7:30 Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th. And the matinee performance will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 31st.
Tickets are on sale at Talisman Books and at the Southridge Farms Country Store. Adults $15 and children under 16 $10.
